Greetings from Saskatoon!

As we were in Saskatchewan in good time and don't deliver til Wednesday, we decided to end the day in Saskatoon, and to head to Prince Albert first thing in the morning.

Lots of beautiful wildlife today; bison in Elk Island national park, countless deer, a coyote, a muskrat, and enormous flocks of snow geese, Canada geese, and trumpter swans both on the ground and in migratory formation.

I was incredulous that nearly every field from Lloydminster to nearly the battlefords has its own oil well. Saskatchewan is latching on to the oil wealth and is fast becoming a "have" province, rather than a have not.

Photos tomorrow...and perhaps we'll find out our next destination.

And Away We Go!

Hello from Edmonton! We are spending our first night in Alberta's capital city.

Five a.m. came early this morning. We gathered up the last of our stuff that needed packing, said goodbye to all at home, and shortly after 6 a.m. we were on the road - first destination is Prince Albert, SK. We will be there Tuesday to unload first thing Wednesday morning.
We headed along Hwy 24 to Little Fort, and then north toward Jasper. Spring is springing in the North Thompson. There are actually leaves on trees! Conditions in Blue River were about the same as home; still some lingering snow.
Heading down off the plateau at the east end of Hwy 24
Taking a quick break in Blue River.
In the Rockies, Jasper National Park.
Cody is a good little traveller; he has slept 90% of the trip. He's been out for two good walks since supper time.
More from Saskatchewan!
